Reacher Season 4: Alan Ritchson Shares Release Update
According to Ritchson, we can expect more action than ever!
For many action fans, "Reacher" is currently one of the standout shows in the genre. As a result, anticipation for Season 4 is already running high. But when will the new episodes finally arrive? In a recent interview with Collider, lead actor Alan Ritchson shared an update on the series' progress and also revealed an approximate release window.
When will Reacher Season 4 be released?
"We finished shooting Season 4 of 'Reacher'. It's by far the best season we've had yet [...]. It'll be out this year."
Of course, we can expect plenty of action in season 4 – according to Ritchson, even more than ever before. He recently revealed in an interview with ScreenRant that they shot approximately 30 fight sequences. That's a considerable number, assuming once again that there will be the typical eight episodes of "Reacher".
The Reacher spin-off Neagley
"Reacher" fans could even get their money's worth twice in 2026. Filming for the spin-off series "Neagley" has been completed for some time. As the name suggests, Maria Sten's character Frances Neagley takes center stage here. Amazon has already released the first plot details. Frances Neagley works as a private investigator in Chicago. When a friend from her past dies in a mysterious accident, she is determined to search for the truth.
It's quite possible that the premiere of the spin-off will reach us before season 4 of the main series. Either way, there's plenty more to come. Like all previous "Reacher" seasons, the spin-off will of course be available to stream on Amazon Prime Video.
The Reacher phenomenon
Behind the action hit is one of the most successful thriller series of the past decades. The character Jack Reacher comes from the novels of British author Lee Child. Since 1997, more than two dozen books have been published about the former military policeman who travels across the US as a loner and repeatedly finds himself in dangerous situations. The novels have sold millions worldwide and made "Reacher" one of the most famous characters in modern action and crime literature.
Reacher in the movies: the film adaptations
Even before the series version, "Reacher" had already made the leap to the big screen. Tom Cruise took on the lead role in the movies "Jack Reacher" and "Jack Reacher 2: Never Go Back". The series focuses on handmade fights, straightforward but exciting crime stories, and a main character who comes across with dry humor and uncompromising toughness. At the same time, the format appeals to an audience that misses classic action material – stories in which a charismatic loner takes on corrupt systems and dangerous opponents. This mixture of simple but effective dramaturgy and spectacular action sequences has made "Reacher" one of the most popular series hits in streaming.
With a new season and a spin-off, the "Reacher" universe is now continuing to grow. With filming now complete, it shouldn't be too long before the specific start dates for "Reacher" season 4 and "Neagley" season 1 are officially announced.
