"Avatar 2: The Way of Water" is the long-awaited sequel to James Cameron's record-breaking 2009 film "Avatar." Released in theaters on December 14, 2022, the film is set in the fictional world of Pandora, where humans mine a valuable mineral called Unobtanium. The story follows Jake Sully, a former marine who is now permanently fused with his Avatar body, as he explores the underwater world of Pandora and tries to protect it from destruction by humans.
Avatar 4 (2029)

The fourth part of James Cameron's "Avatar" saga is currently being planned. The film is due to be released in 2029, following on from "Avatar 3: Fire and Ash". Part 4 is not the end of the series, however, as "Avatar 5" is also planned.
