Filmmaker Marie finds a box of photos and film footage in her family's estate. The discovery becomes the starting point for a journey into the history of her family and the patriarchal German post-war period. Sometimes combative, sometimes with humor, contemporary and personal traumas are processed. Documentary filmmaker Petra Seeger's first feature film is a deeply personal project, full of symbolic images, ghostly beautiful shots and overlapping time levels, reflecting the trauma of an entire generation.
