The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum

"The Hunt for Gollum" will take place at the same time as "The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring", more specifically after Bilbo's birthday party and before the Mines of Moria. Strider and Gandalf search for the corrupted Hobbit Gollum to learn more information about Bilbo Baggins' ring.
Andy Serkis will direct the film and will also portray Gollum via motion capture. Ian McKellen returns as Gandalf and Elijah Wood will also make his Middle-earth comeback as Frodo. Jamie Dornan replaces Viggo Mortensen as Aragorn. Lee Pace plays Thranduil, as he did in Peter Jackson's "Hobbit" films. Kate Winslet is new on board. The "Titanic" star takes on the role of Marigol.
