"Sonic the Hedgehog 3" is a US-Japanese film and the sequel to the films "Sonic the Hedgehog" (2020) and "Sonic the Hedgehog 2" (2022). The film follows on from the post-credit scene of its predecessor and revolves around the story of Shadow the Hedgehog.
The plot of the film is based on events from the video games "Sonic Adventure 2" (2001) and "Shadow the Hedgehog" (2005). Shadow is freed from his imprisonment on Prison Island and seeks revenge on the G.U.N., which was responsible for the death of his girlfriend Maria Robotnik 50 years ago. Meanwhile, Sonic, Tails and Knuckles are celebrating a party with Tom and Maddie Wachowski. However, they are ordered by G.U.N. to find Shadow in Tokyo. Shadow gets in the way of Team Sonic and defeats them with ease. As the film progresses, Sonic and his friends become embroiled in a complex story in which they must work with Dr. Robotnik, Professor Gerald Robotnik and Agent Stone to save the Earth from destruction.
