The evil Empire has fallen, and Imperial warlords remain scattered throughout the galaxy. As the fledgling New Republic works to protect everything the Rebellion fought for, they have enlisted the help of legendary Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and his young apprentice Grogu.
With "The Mandalorian & Grogu", two of the most popular characters in the Star Wars universe are returning to the big screen for the first time in 2026. The movie not only marks the return of the saga to the cinema after a break of several years, but also continues the story of Din Djarin and Grogu - also known as "Baby Yoda". The first trailer hints at a new mission for the duo that follows on from the events of the third series season.
Directed by Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni, the film relies on a proven creative team that already made the series a worldwide phenomenon. In addition to Pedro Pascal, other well-known characters from the so-called "Mando-Verse" also return, including Zeb Orrelios. With guest stars such as Sigourney Weaver and Jeremy Allen White, Disney not only wants to delight fans, but also attract a new audience to the expanded series universe.
