Ed and Lorraine Warren take on a particularly disturbing case: Jack (Elliot Cowan) and Janet Smurl move into a new house in Pennsylvania with their children in 1976. They are fulfilling their long-cherished dream of owning their own home. However, inexplicable occurrences soon began to pile up. By 1985, the phenomena become more and more threatening and the family reaches its breaking point. Returning from retirement, the Warrens come across an artifact on site that is connected to the birth of their daughter Judy and brings back memories of their very first case.
