I was genuinely interested in seeing this film when I'd first heard about it, nearly two years ago as there were plenty of reputable names in horror listed here; we've got actors like Kane Hodder of Jason Voorhees fame, Sid Haig and Bill Moseley with so many credits that it's astounding, and with many more of these actors/actresses being well decorated in their own regard, what could go wrong? Writing for this film is... well awful, to be blunt, which, I don't think surprises me. Gunnar Hansen had written this however it was found to be incomplete by the time he had passed away and I assume this is where things get muddied as things had to be picked up from where he left off, and much of his script likely was changed to align with the new writing. This all culminates into a disaster of storytelling which boils down to an insane asylum prison break with virtual reality that was confusing at best. This film also suffers from severe acting issues, particularly from the protagonists, as well as some questionable editing choices, unnecessary action and humor scenes, and a litany of other issues. The gore was passable at times and awful at others. Overall 2/10 (1/5) Hated it.

Story sucks, the dialogue is horrible, direction was all over the place, and it just made no goddamn sense at all. Either people have no taste or they just liked because it was a man's dying wish.
